Knocking out signs, barn finds, and building up the Horizon events. Then suddenly last night, it felt normal and the extra level of care necessary to properly navigate this game sank into my bones. I've earned every 1st place after a good number of restarts. Where I would normally dominate or learn tracks very quickly in FH4, I haven't come close to completely outclassing the AI in the same way in FH5.

It's just different and requires a greater degree of control as well as technique. Same settings as I have in FH4, but even with the same car, it's more prone to sliding and losing control now. I was having a very tough time keeping my cars on the road for the first couple days. I recommend you wait for the price to drop to $40 before picking this game up.It definitely handles differently than FH4.

Nonetheless, I do appreciate that there is at least an offline mode. You can't even customize your character in the mode. So once the developers decide to switch off the servers, you will be left alone riding in the map with no activities. There are no events or races to be found in this mode. All you can do is ride around the open world and do tricks. There is an offline solo mode called Zen mode in this game. The cutscenes in this game were cringeworthy, but I appreciate that the cutscenes isn't the typical arty farty 'I'm so miserable' trash that developers are obsessed with. This game is exactly what an open world game should be about freedom and tons of content. There are so many events to do in the open world.

The customization options in this game are amazing. For a huge open world game that is rich in content, the graphics are neat. You can even experience it in first person. And you can switch between these rides in real time. You can choose a variety of different rides, such as bicycles, snowmobiles, snowboards, wingsuits, and even a rocket suit. The environments are beautiful and diverse. This game is very fun to play and I am still enjoying it. all mashed up for you to shred!
